"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any."
- Alice Walker
Here at Walk A Long, our focus towards therapy is aimed at restoring balance and healthy functioning for the mind, body, and spirit. Our approach utilizes a combination of
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) ,
Therapeutic Touch, Life Coaching, and Workshops
for wellness and growth.
ART
is an evidence-based psychotherapy using eye movements to help anyone not only suffering with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma, but also identifying and addressing behavior patterns or having difficulty overcoming obstacles.
Because emotions are able to cause a multilayered response within the body, Therapeutic Touch is incorporated to relieve the unseen responses impacting the body.
Our combination therapy is both rapid and comprehensive.
The program is designed to be completed in just 2-6* sessions. Typically, clients that are with us longer than the six sessions chose to continue with services in order to address additional issues. The amount of sessions needed vary based on the individual and their willingness to be open to make necessary life changes.
* 8+ sessions may be needed for Complex Trauma
Our purpose is to aid people on their healing journeys through our unique professional services. Allow us to serve as a catalyst in your efforts to become “unstuck” regarding any hurdles that may be preventing you from reaching your goals.
